Windows XP Shortcut Keys List
Following are the basic short-cut keys used in Windows XP.

| (Windows) | Open Start menu. |
| Shift + (Up Arrow) | Set selection (highlight) from current position to the next line up. |
| Shift + (Down Arrow) | Set selection (highlight) from current position to the next line down. |
| Shift + (Right Arrow) | Set selection (highlight) from current position to the right, one character at a time. |
| Shift + (Left Arrow) | Set selection (highlight) from current position to the left, one character at a time. |
| Shift + End | Set selection (highlight) from current position to end of the line or page. |
| Shift + Home | Set selection (highlight) from current position to beginning of the line or page. |
| Shift + Delete (or Del) | Permanently delete selected item(s) on Windows Explorer. (Selection will not go to Recycle bin) |
| Shift + Ins | Same as Ctrl + V means Paste. |
| Ctrl + End | Jump to the end of the document or page. |
| End | Jump to the end of the line or page. |
| Ctrl + Home | Jump to the beginning of the document or page. |
| Home | Jump to the beginning of the line or page. |
| F1 | Help. |
| Ctrl + (Right Arrow) | Move one word to the right at a time. |
| Ctrl + (Left Arrow) | Move one word to the left at a time. |
| Ctrl + Ins | Same as Ctrl + c means Copy. |
| Ctrl + X | Cut. |
| Ctrl + V | Paste copied item(s) from clipboard. |
| Ctrl + F | To Find Something. |
| Ctrl + C | Copy selected item(s) (to clipboard). |
| Ctrl + A | Select all. |
| Alt + F | Pull down the top File menu. |
| Alt + E | Pull down the top Edit menu |
| Alt | Select from the top menu of Active Window. |
| Ctrl + Escape (Esc) | Shows Start Menu. |
| Ctrl + Alt + Delete | Opens Task Manager. |
| (Window) + R | Executes Run from the Start menu. |
| (Window) + D | Minimize all open windows and shows Desktop. |
| (Print Screen) | Copy Monitor display to clipboard. |
